Music and Landscape Above Como

Brunate is the "balcony village" overlooking Como and the lake, reachable from the city by the historic funicular. Here, the Sunset Concerts festival combines two beauties: chamber music and the panorama. The setting is the Auditorium of the Municipal Library, at via Funicolare 16, whose windows open onto a view stretching from Lake Como to the Alps.

A Festival of the Territory

The festival is promoted by the Library Commission of the Municipality of Brunate together with the Musica Bene Comune association, with the collaboration of local musical institutions such as the "G. Verdi" Conservatory of Como. Often featured are young performers awarded by the Conservatory, who present programs ranging from 20th-century Italian music to repertoire for guitar, from Bach's suites to chamber music.

Free Entry, Unique Experience

With free entry, the concerts are held mainly between spring and summer, taking advantage of the sunset hours as a scenic element. For the residents of Brunate and for visitors coming up from Como, it is an opportunity to experience the village in a different way, between culture and contemplation of the Larian landscape, in the Province of Como.
