A month of music, shows, and evenings under the stars in the heart of Vignola
When July arrives, the historic center of Vignola transforms into a large open-air stage. Estate a Vignola is the summer review that, for the entire month, fills the streets and squares of the Municipality of Vignola, in the province of Modena, at the foot of the Modenese Apennines and a stone's throw from the Emilian plain, with life. Organized by Pro Loco Vignola Terra di Ciliegie in collaboration with the Municipality, it is an eagerly awaited event not only by the people of Vignola but also by residents of neighboring towns, who come to the city to enjoy summer evenings.
The calendar is built around three fixed evenings, each with its own identity:
Estate a Vignola combines the convivial dimension of an Emilian village festival—dinners in the square, markets, evening strolls—with a curated cultural offering of concerts, street theater, dance, and workshops. It's the perfect opportunity to discover Vignola in the summer, after the famous cherry season that makes the town famous throughout Italy, and to experience the historic center in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.
Many events are designed for children: puppet shows, storytelling, games, and workshops in the Library Park and at the Paper Castle. The review is free and open to the public for most events, with the possibility of booking aperitifs and dinners at the refreshment points managed by local associations.
The 2026 edition of Estate a Vignola begins Tuesday, July 1st and runs throughout the month, reprising the proven formula of three weekly evenings: the Tuesdays of Sound Gardens with music from around the world in the historic gardens, the Wednesdays of shows for families at the Auris Library Park, and the Fridays in the city center with open shops, stalls, music, and street artists between Viale Mazzini, Via Garibaldi, and Piazza dei Contrari.
The complete lineup, with artist names and event times, will be published by Pro Loco Vignola Terra di Ciliegie in the weeks leading up to the start of the review.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, with artist names and times, will be announced by Pro Loco Vignola in the weeks preceding the event.
The usual structure of the review includes:
