Three days of craft beer, street food, and live music in Piazza Colleverde
Summer Beer Colleverde is the beer festival that brings Piazza Colleverde to life every June, in the heart of the district of the same name within the Municipality of Guidonia Montecelio, in the Province of Rome, Lazio. Launched in 2021 as a local initiative, the event has grown rapidly to become one of the most popular gatherings in the Tiburtina area: in 2026, it celebrated its sixth edition with three sold-out evenings starting from Friday.
The organization is managed by the Pro Loco of Colleverde, led by Andrea Serena, with the patronage of the City of Guidonia Montecelio. It is a festival created by volunteers for the neighborhood, and this is reflected in the atmosphere: no monumental stages or corporate festival logic, just a square that becomes an open-air living room for the entire community for three nights.
The common thread is, naturally, craft beer. The stands set up along the square offer a careful selection of labels, poured on tap and served until late at night. Surrounding the beer counters is a large street food area with options for every taste: fried snacks, sandwiches, grilled specialties, and desserts, in an informal format that invites you to stroll, sample, and linger at the communal tables.
Every evening has its own soundtrack. Over the years, the stage has hosted cover bands, tribute acts, DJ sets, and emerging local artists: in 2023, The War Pigs performed a Black Sabbath tribute, while the 2026 edition closed with the indie-rap duo F3D UNION (Fead & Daem), who formed in 2023 and took the stage on Sunday, June 21, around 10:30 PM. Alongside the music, there is space for street performers, entertainment, and activities designed for all ages.
Summer Beer Colleverde is not just for young people. A significant part of the program is dedicated to children, with rides and attractions, entertainment, face painting, and shows. Families can enjoy the square in peace while parents treat themselves to a pint. Among the most appreciated curiosities is the open-air chess tournament, now a small classic of the event, which adds a moment of focus and play to the conviviality of a beer festival.
Guidonia Montecelio is one of the most populous municipalities in Lazio after Rome, located just a few kilometers from the capital and at the gates of the Aniene Valley. The territory combines the historic village of Montecelio, perched on the hill, with the modern residential areas of the plains, including Colleverde. Nearby, you will find Tivoli with the UNESCO-listed Villa d'Este and Villa Adriana, as well as the famous travertine quarries that provided the stone for half of Rome. Summer Beer fits perfectly into this context: a local festival that showcases the vitality of the associations in the Roman suburbs.
Those looking for a massive international beer festival will find more ambitious options elsewhere. However, if you want to experience how summer is lived in the neighborhoods of Lazioโamong pints, arrosticini, live music, and children running between the ridesโyou are in the right place. Admission is free, the atmosphere is genuine, and prices remain those of a village festival.
From June 19 to 21, 2026, Piazza Colleverde, in the Municipality of Guidonia Montecelio (Province of Rome, Lazio), hosted the sixth edition of Summer Beer Colleverde. Open daily from 5:00 PM until late at night, with a rich program designed for all ages.
The highlights of the event were the stands featuring selected craft beers and the street food area, accompanied by rides and attractions for children, entertainment, and the traditional open-air chess tournament. The three evenings were accompanied by live music and entertainment: the grand finale on Sunday, June 21, was performed by the indie-rap duo F3D UNION (Fead & Daem), who took the stage around 10:30 PM.
The event was organized by the Pro Loco of Colleverde, led by Andrea Serena, with the patronage of the City of Guidonia Montecelio. Admission was free; the Friday and Saturday evenings were sold out.
