SudInCanto: where music meets solidarity

SudInCanto is a charity music festival promoted by the AMOPUGLIA association in the town of Polignano a Mare, in the province of Bari, Puglia. Launched in 2025, the event brings great names of Italian and Mediterranean music to the stage every year for a free-entry evening that combines entertainment, participation, and civic engagement. All proceeds from donations go towards the free home palliative care offered by AMOPUGLIA to cancer patients in the area.

An evening with strong social value

AMOPUGLIA is a volunteer organization that provides free home care to oncology and onco-hematology patients, with doctors, psychologists, and nurses specialized in palliative care. With SudInCanto, the association chooses music as a universal language to raise community awareness and collect funds for medical equipment and care activities. The festival is held under the patronage of the Municipality of Polignano a Mare and in collaboration with local cultural associations, such as Artea.

Overlooking the Adriatic Sea and famous throughout Italy as the birthplace of Domenico Modugno, Polignano a Mare offers SudInCanto a setting of rare beauty. The squares of the historic centre — from Largo Domenico Modugno to Piazza Aldo Moro — welcome the public for an open-air evening, free and open to all, where great singer-songwriter music meets the warmth of a community united for an important cause.
