The thirtieth edition of the Strozzapreti Festival
The 2025 edition, scheduled from August 14th to 16th, marked a special milestone: the thirtieth edition of the Strozzapreti Festival in Capranica. Organized by the Associazione Amici di San Rocco at the Giggi Iezzi sports center, the event confirmed its role as the highlight of the summer in the village, in the province of Viterbo.
Every evening, starting at 8:00 PM, the food stalls served handmade strozzapreti according to the ancient local recipe, in the classic tomato version and in variations with sausage and porcini mushrooms. The evenings were enlivened by live music, folk dancing, craft stalls, and activities for families, in a setting of celebration and conviviality that attracted thousands of people.

Thursday, August 14
- Opening of food stalls from 8:00 PM with handmade strozzapreti
- Live music with Il Gringo e Gli Aurora
Friday, August 15 (Ferragosto)
- Gastronomic evening with strozzapreti and traditional specialties
- Live music with the Intramontabile Band
Saturday, August 16 (San Rocco)
- Final evening of the festival with food stalls
- Live music with the group Battiti d'Italia
Throughout the three evenings: folk dancing, craft stalls, and activities for all ages.
