Three days of street food, live music, and entertainment in the heart of Reggiolo
Every spring, the historic center of Reggiolo, in the province of Reggio Emilia, hosts the Street Food Festival: three days during which Piazza Martiri becomes the kingdom of street food. Food trucks and mobile kitchens from various Italian regions and different countries line the square, while live music and evening shows transform the gastronomic event into a true village festival open to all, with free admission.
The beauty of the Street Food Festival is its variety: in just a few steps, you can travel around Italy and the world. Among the offerings that liven up the Reggiolo editions, you'll find:
A selection designed to please all tastes, from the most traditional to the most curious, in a culinary journey to be enjoyed while strolling among the stands.
What sets the Reggiolo Street Food Festival apart is its evening program: each day has its own musical and entertainment theme, with DJ sets, tribute acts, and dance performances that get the square dancing until late. It ranges from beloved Italian hits to the nineties atmosphere, to Latin sounds, in an alternation of offerings that makes each evening different from the others.
Organized by the Pro Loco Reggiolo with the patronage of the Municipality of Reggiolo and in collaboration with market operators, the Street Food Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the Reggiolo spring. It's an opportunity to rediscover the historic center, support local commerce, and experience the typical conviviality of the Bassa Reggiana, where good food and music have always gone hand in hand. The free admission formula makes it perfect for an evening with family or friends.
The 2026 Street Food Festival took place in Reggiolo from Friday, May 8 to Sunday, May 10, confirming the formula that combines street food and evening entertainment in Piazza Martiri. The stands offered Italian specialties (arrosticini from Abruzzo, bombette from Puglia, Roman cuisine, pizza), Reggiano tradition (gnocco fritto, erbazzone, craft beer), and world cuisine (Brazilian rotisserie, Indian and Eastern European dishes, hamburgers). Each day was paired with a different musical theme, in a crescendo of music and dancing in the historic center.
On all three days, the food stands accompanied the musical program with Italian and international specialties.
