The Street Food e Mercato Regionale is the gastronomic event that, every early September, enlivens the splendid Piazza del Popolo in San Severino Marche, in the heart of the province of Macerata, in the Marche region. The event brings together street food vans and itinerant kitchens alongside the colorful stalls of the European regional market, creating a culinary journey through one of the most picturesque squares in the Marche hinterland.

Flavors from all over Italy and beyond

The heart of the event are the food stalls, where you can taste the great Italian street food specialties: from gourmet sandwiches to fried fish, from arrosticini to the most characteristic regional dishes, up to craft beers and desserts to eat on the go. Alongside street food, the European regional market offers typical products, crafts, and specialties from various regions of Italy and Europe, for an experience that combines taste and discovery.

Live music and festive atmosphere

Each evening is accompanied by concerts and DJ sets that liven up the square until late at night, ranging from folk music, pop, funk, soul, and Latin rhythms. Admission is free and the atmosphere is typically convivial, like village festivals, with outdoor tables, lights, and many people of all ages. On weekends, opening extends to lunchtime, doubling the opportunities to sit down and eat.

The event is part of the rich summer program Summer Time promoted by the Municipality of San Severino Marche, which from June to September brings culture, entertainment, sports, and fun for all ages to the city. The Street Food and Regional Market, held at the beginning of September, ideally marks the end of the San Severino summer and is one of the most popular events on the calendar.
