Braccano in Festa is the summer event that draws visitors and curious onlookers every July to the village of Braccano, one of the most well-known in the municipality of Matelica, in the province of Macerata, in the heart of the Marche region. Nestled on the western slopes of Monte San Vicino, at an altitude of about 450 meters, Braccano is known throughout the region as the 'village of murals': since 2001, its stone facades have become an open-air museum, thanks to over eighty works created by students from the Fine Arts Academies of Brera, Urbino, and Macerata, as well as artists from all over the world.

Flavors and tradition in the heart of summer

Promoted by the Braccano Festival Committee Association, the event transforms the streets and small squares of the village into a large, convivial outdoor space. Food stalls open in the evening, offering themed menus accompanied by live music that keeps the small village lively until late at night.

The Braccano Festival Committee does more than just the summer festival: throughout the year, it organizes numerous excursions along the trails of San Vicino and Canfaito, and in autumn, the Saffron Festival. However, Braccano in Festa remains the most anticipated moment, when the community gathers to share its rural identity and welcome those coming up from the valley to discover this authentic corner of the Marche.
