A dive into the agriculture of the past

The Raduno dei Trattori d'Epoca in San Ginesio is much more than an exhibition of old agricultural machinery: it is a popular festival that tells the story of the evolution of agriculture in the Marche region, from plowing with oxen to the first motorized models. Every year, between late August, carefully restored tractors take center stage again, lined up along the Parcheggio Marchesini Patto Passo, on the outskirts of the village. It is an event that combines passion, memory, and rural identity, in the heart of the Province of Macerata and the Sibillini Mountains.

Three generations compared

What makes the rally special is the meeting between three generations of farmers: the grandfathers who worked with animal-drawn plows, the children who experienced the arrival of the first mechanization, and the grandchildren who use modern techniques today. From a simple exhibition of machinery, the event has transformed over the years into an authentic social and cultural occasion, capable of welcoming families and young people curious about local agricultural history.

Night plowing, conferences, and folklore

The rally program, organized by the Gruppo Amatori Le Teste Calle in collaboration with the Municipal Administration and the Pro Loco of San Ginesio, alternates spectacular moments with moments of reflection:

• Night plowing: demonstrations with Fiat-Om tractors and traditional plowing with Marchigiana breed cattle, one of the most evocative moments of the event.
• Conferences on typical products and local issues, with the participation of administrators, agronomists, and guests from the agricultural world.
• Live folk music accompanying the evenings, with bands from the Marche popular tradition.
• Food stalls with local specialties and activities for children, for an event designed for the whole family.

San Ginesio, one of Italy's most beautiful villages

The setting for the rally is San Ginesio, one of the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy (Borghi più belli d'Italia), overlooking the Sibillini Mountains in the Province of Macerata, in the Marche region. Known as the 'Balcony of the Sibillini' for its panoramas, the village offers visitors to the rally the opportunity to combine the discovery of rural tradition with the historical and landscape heritage of the area.
