Running together, in Domenico's name

The StraDonBosco con Domenico is one of the most heartfelt sporting and solidarity events in Potenza. More than a race, it's a neighborhood festival that starts from Piazza Don Bosco and involves families, runners, young people, and walkers on a route that crosses the city. The event carries the memory of Domenico Lorusso, a young Salesian educator who passed away in Munich on May 28, 2013: the run was created by his friends and the community to pass on the values of joy, altruism, and commitment that characterized him.

Sport for everyone

The event includes a non-competitive running race and a walk open to everyone, with different routes designed for various age groups, from the youngest to the most trained athletes. It's an inclusive format where participation matters more than the stopwatch: the goal is to bring the city together around sports and the values of the Salesian oratory.

A community network

Promoted by the Parrocchia San Giovanni Bosco (San Giovanni Bosco Parish) together with the ASD Podistica Amatori Potenza, the StraDonBosco enjoys the patronage of the Municipality of Potenza and CONI Basilicata. It's an event that truly showcases the solidarity of the Lucanian capital: a city that knows how to be a team and that, once a year, comes together to run and remember, and to build community.
