About Amici della Musica di Perugia

The Concert Season of the Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica brings great classical, chamber, ancient, and contemporary music to Perugia. High-level concerts with international orchestras, ensembles, and soloists in the most evocative locations in the city โ€” the Auditorium San Francesco al Prato and the Teatro del Pavone โ€” alongside the Musical Mornings for schools and initiatives dedicated to families and young people. A historic event for the cultural life of the Umbrian capital.

A century-old musical tradition

The Fondazione Perugia Musica Classica, heir to the historic association Amici della Musica di Perugia, organizes a rich concert season every year that brings great classical, chamber, ancient, and contemporary music to the Umbrian capital. An institution of reference for the cultural life of Perugia and the entire Umbria region.

The venues of music

The concerts are held in some of the most fascinating places in the city: the Auditorium San Francesco al Prato, a splendid space restored within the ancient church, and the refined Teatro del Pavone. The programming alternates chamber orchestras, ensembles, and string quartets, with soloists and formations of international prestige.

Music for all ages

Alongside the major concerts, the Foundation curates the Musical Mornings, part of the "Musica per Crescere" (Music to Grow) project, now in its twenty-fourth year, with musical performances designed for schools. Family Concerts and special initiatives introduce music to families and new generations, confirming the Foundation's educational and outreach mission.
