Squares Under the Stars - Thursdays in the Square

A new summer event in the heart of Agazzano

In summer 2026, an unprecedented event is born in Agazzano, a small town in Val Luretta in the province of Piacenza: Squares Under the Stars - Thursdays in the Square. Now in its first edition, the initiative transforms Piazza Europa into an open-air living room every Thursday evening, from mid-June to mid-August. The underlying idea is simple and deeply linked to the town's identity: to enhance the historic center, support local businesses and traders, and offer the community opportunities to meet on warm summer evenings in Emilia-Romagna.

How the evenings unfold

The program for each Thursday follows a convivial and relaxed pace. Starting at 7:30 PM, the aperitivo begins, involving the shops and venues facing the square, while from 9:00 PM, it's time for live music. Admission is free: just show up at Piazza Europa to enjoy the evening with a drink, good conversation, and a concert under the summer sky.

The event features nine dates, with artists and bands ranging from singer-songwriters to light music, as well as groups from the Piacenza area. The complete schedule:

A local project

The event is promoted by the association Le nostre radici APS, led by Rita Tagani, with the patronage and collaboration of the Municipality of Agazzano and the active involvement of the shopkeepers of Piazza Europa. A project born from the grassroots that aims to revive the town center, restoring its centrality as a place for socializing and celebration for the entire Val Luretta community.

Dominated by its imposing castle, Agazzano is a destination that combines history, nature, and good food. The evenings of Squares Under the Stars thus also become an opportunity to discover this corner of the Piacenza Apennines, with its hills, vineyards, and the typical hospitality of Emilia-Romagna.
