A village of taste and music in the Torrevarata district of Santa Teresa di Riva
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Spring Street Food (Food & Music Fest) is one of the most anticipated events in the calendar of Santa Teresa di Riva, a lively town on the Ionian coast of Messina, in Sicily. Every year, between late May and early June, the Torrevarata district and the long Via Roma transform into a large village of taste, where street food meets music, entertainment, and fun.
The heart of the event is its culinary offering: along the route, street fooders offer a wide range of typical Sicilian and Italian dishes, from arancine to panelle, and from cannoli to granita, without forgetting international specialties and options for those with dietary restrictions. It is a stroll through aromas and flavors that tells the story of the island's gastronomic tradition in a convivial and popular way.
Beyond the food, the event has always focused on a rich entertainment program. The stage hosts live concerts, DJ sets, and shows, while families can enjoy creative workshops, children's games, and cooking shows with local chefs. Admission is free, and the atmosphere is that of a typical Sicilian village festival, attracting residents and visitors from across the entire Ionian-Messina area.
The festival has its roots in the historic Spring Festival of Santa Teresa di Riva and has gradually evolved into a true street food celebration. Organized by Fratellone Event Management under the traveling Street Food Sicily on Tour brand, the event has solidified its formula over the years, combining gastronomy, music, and local promotion, becoming a fixed appointment in the spring of Santa Teresa.
The 2026 edition of the Spring Street Food festival in Santa Teresa di Riva has not yet been officially announced: dates and program are currently not available. Based on previous editions, the event usually takes place in the Torrevarata district, along Via Roma, between late May and early June, featuring street food stalls, live music, and family entertainment. To find out the final dates and the concert lineup, we must wait for the announcement from the organizers, Fratellone Event Management.
The Spring Street Food festival is held in the Torrevarata district of Santa Teresa di Riva (ME), along Via Roma, just a short walk from the Ionian seafront.
Santa Teresa di Riva can be reached by car via the A18 Messina-Catania motorway (Roccalumera exit) and by regional trains on the Messina-Catania line (Santa Teresa di Riva station).
Admission to the festival village is free. Stalls are usually open in the evening on weekdays, and with double opening hours (lunch and dinner) on weekends and public holidays.
