The Spring Festival is a popular event held in Paternò, in the province of Catania, on the slopes of Mount Etna. The event takes place in the picturesque setting of Contrada Schettino, along the SS 121 state road that connects the territories of Paternò and Santa Maria di Licodia, at the La Ruota restaurant. A countryside location perfectly suited for a day outdoors dedicated to the spring season.

A day to celebrate spring

Created to celebrate the arrival of spring—a season that brings with it a sense of awakening, a desire to be together, and to enjoy the outdoors—the festival is designed as a convivial moment for families, friends, and visitors. From 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, the schedule is packed with music, cabaret, games, entertainment, and tastings of local products in an informal and welcoming atmosphere.

Who organizes the event

The event is promoted by the Andiamo Avanti association, led by president Giovanni Finocchiaro, in collaboration with the Regional Department of Tourism, Sport, and Entertainment, and in synergy with the ARS vocational training school. The initiative is part of the events that enliven the Paternò territory and the Etna district during the spring season, highlighting the flavors and traditions of the province of Catania.
