Spoleto on Stage is the festival that brings the amateur and dialect theatre of Spoleto, in the province of Perugia, to one of the city's most evocative stages: the Caio Melisso Theatre - Carla Fendi Space, overlooking Piazza del Duomo.
Comedies in Italian and Dialect
The festival selects amateur theatre companies based in Spoleto to stage comedies and prose works in Italian and in the Spoleto dialect. The performances, held between April and May, celebrate the tradition of the local dialect, popular irony, and the community's memory.
A Showcase for Local Talent
Spoleto on Stage represents a valuable opportunity for local amateur companies, allowing them to perform in a historic theatre linked to the Festival dei Due Mondi. The festival is promoted by the cultural association Due Mondi News with the support of the Municipality of Spoleto.

The Fourth Edition
The fourth edition of Spoleto on Stage brings three performances by amateur and dialect theatre companies based in Spoleto to the stage of the Caio Melisso Theatre - Carla Fendi, spread between April and May 2026.
Among the events are the two-act dialect comedy "Chi zompa gode e a chi predica je rode!!" by the theatre association La Traussa (directed by Valeria Moncada), set in a Spoleto village in the 1950s, and "Dall'ogghji al dimane", a comedy in the Spoleto dialect by the DilettArti Association (directed by Giancarlo Iommi).

How to get there
Spoleto is on the Rome-Ancona railway line; from the station, the centre can be reached by the mechanized pathways. By car: take the Spoleto exit from the SS3 Flaminia. The Caio Melisso Theatre is located in Piazza del Duomo.
