The pasta festival in Campocavallo di Osimo
In the heart of the Marche summer, the hamlet of Campocavallo, on the outskirts of Osimo (in the province of Ancona), dedicates three evenings to the undisputed king of the Italian table: spaghetti. The Spaghetti Festival is an anticipated event in the calendar of Osimo's festivals, one of those village feasts where the community gathers around long tables, the volunteers' stoves, and music that accompanies the evenings until late.
The common thread is simple and irresistible: spaghetti, offered in traditional Marche recipes and with various sauce variations. The dishes are prepared on the spot at the food stalls managed by volunteers from the hamlet's committee, who have been running this popular event for years. Alongside pasta, other local flavors and desserts are available for a complete meal focused on authenticity.
The Spaghetti Festival is not just about food: every evening features live music and dancing, with orchestras and bands animating the dance floor set up in the park. It's a festive occasion for all ages, from families with children to fans of ballroom dancing and group dances, in a convivial atmosphere typical of Marche summers.
The event is held in the equipped park of Campocavallo, a hamlet of Osimo. In recent years, the festival has found its home here, while redevelopment work funded by the PNRR continues on the traditional Osimo Forum Boarium. Campocavallo is also known for its Sanctuary of the Blessed Sacrament, a pilgrimage site, and represents one of the most vibrant centers of the municipal area during the festival season.
The Spaghetti Festival is part of a packed summer program that the Municipality of Osimo offers every year between June and September: from the Lion Festival to the Barbecue Festival, from the Frog Festival to the Bruschetta Festival. A journey that tells, dish by dish, the food and wine tradition of Osimo and its hamlets, in the heart of the Marche region.
The Spaghetti Festival 2026 takes place in the equipped park of Campocavallo di Osimo (AN) from July 17 to 19. The dates are included in the official schedule of Osimo's festivals published by the Municipality of Osimo.
As tradition dictates, the three evenings offer spaghetti and dishes from Marche cuisine prepared on the spot at the food stalls, accompanied by live music and dancing in the park. The detailed program for the evenings, with orchestras and musical events, is usually released in the weeks preceding the event through the committee's and the Municipality's channels.
The detailed evening program for the 2026 edition (orchestras, musical groups, and related events) will be announced in the weeks leading up to the festival. The usual structure includes, for each of the three evenings, the opening of the food stalls in the evening with service of spaghetti and traditional dishes, followed by live music and dancing in the park.
