SoundePoz Festival

A festival born from the grassroots in Valmarecchia

The SoundePoz Festival is one of the most vibrant cultural events of the summer in the Municipality of Poggio Torriana, in the province of Rimini, in the heart of Valmarecchia in Emilia-Romagna. Born in 2021 with the aim of creating a free space for youth expression, it has grown edition after edition to become a stable reference point for the independent music scene, urban art, and cultural promotion of the area.

Where it takes place

The setting is the evocative Open-Air Theatre of Poggio Berni, at via Roma 7, an open-air amphitheater that for one evening transforms into a stage immersed in greenery. The space becomes a place where music, street art, workshops, exhibitions, and socializing coexist until late at night, with a food & drink area accompanying the audience's aperitif and dinner.

Independent music and hip-hop

The heart of the festival is live music: each edition features artists from the independent and national hip-hop scene, alongside local talents. Previous editions have seen performances by rapper Johnny Marsiglia, songwriter Dutch Nazari, and Rimini singer Nio, with DJ sets accompanying the opening of the evening. An open mic dedicated to the best local talents provides a platform for emerging rappers, singer-songwriters, poets, and musicians.

Urban art and writing

Alongside music, SoundePoz dedicates ample space to urban art: a writing area, a graffiti contest, and exhibitions by local artists liven up the evening. The project extends beyond the festival with initiatives like the "Soundepoz Writing LAB", a workshop promoted by the Ora d'Aria Association that has involved local youth in creating murals and learning the basics of writing and lettering.

Who organizes it

The event is organized by the Ora d'Aria Association together with the Pro Loco Poggio Berni, with the support of the Municipality of Poggio Torriana. It is the result of the work of a team of volunteers who each year build an entirely free evening, designed to engage audiences of all ages and give voice to the youth creativity of Valmarecchia.
