A road race winding through the historic center of Sezze and the scenic Monti Lepini
The Setia Run 10K is a road race that brings Sezze, a hilltop village in the province of Latina, Lazio, to life. The event debuted on Sunday, May 10, 2026, as the fifth stage of the Opes In Corsa Libera circuit, a running calendar that visits the main towns of the Pontine province. The organizers' goal is clear: to combine a passion for running with the promotion of the historical, cultural, and natural heritage of the Sezze area.
The course measures approximately 10.1 kilometers, entirely on asphalt, with a hilly profile of climbs and descents that will challenge even the most trained runners. The start and finish are located on Via Guglielmo Marconi, in front of the Parco della Rimembranza. The route winds through the historic center of Sezze and some of the most evocative corners of the area, offering participants open views of the Monti Lepini and the Pontine plain. There are two refreshment stations along the route, in addition to the final refreshment area at the finish line.
The Setia Run is part of the Opes In Corsa Libera circuit, a series of road races promoted by Opes Latina that brought thousands of runners together across the province in 2026. Inclusion in the circuit guarantees official timing, managed by Race Chrono Service, absolute and category rankings, and the participation of the main running clubs in southern Lazio.
From its very first edition, the event has chosen an eco-friendly approach: recyclable and compostable materials at refreshment stations and in logistics to minimize environmental impact and promote a more responsible model for sporting events. Upon arrival, the Setia Run Village welcomes athletes and their companions with a final refreshment area that highlights local products, turning the race into a small local festival.
The race is organized by the amateur sports association A.S.D. Go Run, chaired by Gianluca Ceccato, with the moral patronage of the Municipality of Sezze and the collaboration of the Pro Loco Cittร di Sezze, as well as the support of technical sponsors like Athletics โ Il Negozio per Correre. All finishers receive a commemorative medal, with prizes for the top three men and women overall, the best in each category, and a special AVIS award for the top three classified blood donors.
The debut on May 10, 2026, saw Manuel Menna (A.S.D. Atletica Tor Tre Teste) triumph in 36'50" among the men and Giovanna Ungania (X-Solid Sport Lab A.S.D.) in 42'47" among the women, in front of a warm crowd along the town's streets. The organizers have already announced their intention to grow the event in future editions, confirming the Setia Run as a new staple of the Lazio running calendar.
