The widespread summer of Sesto Calende

The Sesto RiverSide Festival is the major summer event in Sesto Calende, a municipality in the province of Varese overlooking Lake Maggiore, at the point where the Ticino River flows out of the lake. Organized by the Municipality, it offers a multidisciplinary and widespread program, capable of enhancing the most picturesque views of the town along the river.

Over twenty free events

The festival brings together more than twenty free-entry events: concerts, performances, literary readings, DJ sets, theatre shows, and workshops. A deliberately diverse offering, designed to engage different audiences — young people, adults, families, schools, and tourists — and to accompany the entire Sesto summer with a rich and varied calendar.

Music, culture, and shows on the water

From the inauguration with the Festa della Musica (Music Day) on June 21st until the closing in early August, the RiverSide Festival alternates evenings of author music, DJ sets, jazz, theatre, and dance. The riverside setting and the town's locations serve as a natural backdrop for an event that has become a benchmark for the Summer of the Lakes, confirming the cultural and tourist vocation of Sesto Calende.
