Serravalle Rock is one of the most appreciated music festivals in the Tuscan summer, held in the municipality of Serravalle Pistoiese, in the province of Pistoia, in the heart of Tuscany. For three nights, the medieval village comes alive with concerts, new sounds, and meetings, confirming itself as a cult event for rock and alternative music enthusiasts.

The Rocca di Castruccio as a stage

The festival is held at the Rocca di Castruccio, also known as Rocca Nuova: a fortification that overlooks the village and offers a unique backdrop, between ancient walls and views of the Valdinievole. A showcase for emerging bands

Since its first edition, the festival has chosen a precise direction: to give space to emerging bands, both national and international, and to the most experimental proposals in the rock, post-punk, and electronic scene. Over the years, the stage has hosted Italian and foreign artists, many of whom are linked to the Vrec label, always maintaining an intimate and underground atmosphere capable of putting the audience in direct contact with the musicians.

More than just concerts

Alongside live music, Serravalle Rock offers a broader program that turns the weekend into a widespread cultural experience: screenings, talks and meetings, creative workshops, market stalls, and areas dedicated to street food. The festival is also accompanied by a historical compilation that collects tracks and alternative versions from the artists who have performed in the various editions.

A local project

The event is organized by the Municipality of Serravalle Pistoiese through the Department of Culture, in collaboration with Vrec Booking, and enjoys the support of the Tuscany Region as part of the Giovanisì project, dedicated to youth cultural initiatives. Free admission is a deliberate choice to make music accessible to everyone and to promote the village as a place of culture and social interaction.
