About Migliarino Fair
A tradition spanning decades
The September Fair, known by everyone as the Ancient Fair of Migliarino, is the identity event of Migliarino, a populous hamlet of the Municipality of Fiscaglia, in the province of Ferrara, in the heart of Emilia-Romagna. Its origins date back to the post-war period: from edition to edition, the fair has spanned over seventy years of local history, becoming a fixture on the calendar of the Lower Ferrara region. In 2025, the 77th edition was celebrated, confirming a rare continuity for a village festival.
Five days of celebration for the whole town
For five days, from afternoon until late evening, Piazza della Repubblica and the town center streets — via Roma, via Mazzanti, via Gramsci — fill with stalls, exhibitors, and people of all ages. The fair is organized by the Pro Loco Migliarino in collaboration with the Municipality of Fiscaglia and with the support of dozens of local sponsors and associations, and is structured into numerous thematic points of interest distributed among the squares, parks, and the characteristic town dock.
What to experience at the fair
- Amusement park open every evening, always a big draw for families and young people;
- Street food and youth area at the dock, with Pro Loco catering, beer, aperitifs, and live music;
- Tombola (bingo) with rich prizes, the real highlight of the evenings, awaited by the entire community;
- Exhibitions set up in historic locations of the town such as the Trot Museum, the primary school, and the parish church of Santa Croce;
- Book presentations, creative workshops for children, and sports initiatives with local associations (canoeing, sport fishing, martial arts).
The flavor of the Lower Ferrara region
The Migliarino Fair is also an opportunity to discover the gastronomy and traditions of this corner of the Ferrara plain, where the Po di Volano river and the reclaimed lands tell a story made of water, agriculture, and community. Among the recurring themes of recent editions, there was also the truffle from the Ferrara lands, the protagonist of debates and search competitions. More than just a commercial fair, it is a popular festival that renews the bond of the inhabitants with their town every year.

2026 Edition
The September Fair of Migliarino, a hamlet of the Municipality of Fiscaglia (FE), will take place in 2026 from Friday, September 4 to Tuesday, September 8, with evening opening from 6:00 PM in Piazza della Repubblica and the surrounding streets. The dates are registered in the official fair portal of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
As per tradition, the edition will be organized by the Pro Loco Migliarino together with the Municipality of Fiscaglia, with an amusement park, food and non-food stalls, street food in the dock, exhibitions, tombola (bingo), and shows. The punctual program of evenings, concerts, and initiatives will be announced by the organizers on their official channels closer to the event.

How to get there
By car: Migliarino is accessible from the SS16 Adriatica and the provincial road network of Ferrara, about 30 km from Ferrara towards the Po Delta. By train: the most convenient reference station is Ferrara, from which to continue with bus connections towards the Lower Ferrara region.
Admission and hours
