September Celebrations

An end-of-summer tradition on the outskirts of Pordenone

In Fontanafredda, a town in the plains of the Province of Pordenone, the September Celebrations represent the popular event with which the community says goodbye to summer and welcomes autumn. The festival unfolds along Via Leonardo da Vinci, in the area managed by the Parish of San Giorgio, and traditionally takes place over two weekends straddling late August and the first days of September, for a total of several consecutive evenings.

Music, flavors, and fun for all ages

The program alternates concerts and live music, evenings with DJ sets, the unmissable rides for children, sports tournaments, and a rich gastronomic offering at the stalls run by volunteers. Among the dishes that have made the event famous is the celebrated tagliata, alongside Friulian cuisine specialties and traditional desserts. There are also themed evenings, entertainment, and events designed for families.

A community festival

The heart of the September Celebrations is its community dimension: the festival is born and grows thanks to the commitment of the parish and dozens of volunteers, who every year transform the area of Via Leonardo da Vinci into a great meeting point for the inhabitants of Fontanafredda and neighboring towns. The informal and family-friendly atmosphere makes this event one of the most cherished on the summer calendar of the Municipality of Fontanafredda.
