SELVA — Veddasca Sound Festival

Electronic music meets the mountains

SELVA – Veddasca Sound Festival is an electronic music festival with a unique character: it takes place in Biegno, a mountain hamlet in Val Veddasca, at about a thousand meters altitude, in the municipality of Maccagno con Pino e Veddasca, in the province of Varese. A setting far from large urban clubs, where music dialogues with nature, the forest, and the silence of the valley.

Three days of sounds

The festival unfolds over three days that explore the different nuances of electronic music, alternating sound research, house, techno, and more experimental selections. The line-up brings together DJs and artists from the electronic scene, with a particular focus on the quality of the offering and the discovery of new sounds.

Camping as an experience

At SELVA, camping is not a logistical detail but a central part of the experience: sleeping at altitude, immersed in nature, is an integral part of the festival. This creates a temporary community that lives the valley for three days, sharing music, landscape, and social interaction.

A local project

SELVA is organized by the Veddasca Insieme association with the support of the Municipality and the artistic direction of the Milanese collective Millesuoni. It is a virtuous example of how contemporary musical culture can enhance a mountainous and marginal territory, bringing a young and curious audience to discover Val Veddasca, among the peaks overlooking Lake Maggiore in the province of Varese.
