Secolare Seeds in Terlizzi is the local stop for Secolare Seeds, the series of preview events held in summer 2026 that leads audiences toward the Secolare Festival, the annual musical discovery event that brings the Alta Murgia National Park to life. The events take place in the town of Terlizzi, in the Metropolitan City of Bari, in the heart of Puglia, offering two distinct evenings of experimental theatre, electronic music, and artistic exploration between late June and mid-July.

June 28: "P.O.V." at MAT – Laboratorio Urbano

The first evening in Terlizzi takes place on June 28, 2026, at MAT – Laboratorio Urbano, the city's cultural hub dedicated to youth and creativity. The program features "P.O.V.", a theatrical performance by Alberto Conversano created in collaboration with the Compagnia Licia Lanera, followed by a DJ set to keep the night going. It is a meeting point between stage language and contemporary sounds, consistent with the Secolare project's mission of blending different artistic forms.

July 16: electronics and songwriting at S.E.R.R.E.

The second stop is held on July 16, 2026, at S.E.R.R.E., in collaboration with Vivaio. On stage, the post-punk electronic sounds of So Beast and the experimental songwriting of Simona Valente will blend musical research with the singer-songwriter tradition. This event concludes the Terlizzi preview series and serves as the perfect lead-up to the festival's grand finale.

Inside the Secolare project

The Secolare Seeds previews take place from June 28 to July 16, 2026, across various towns in the Terra di Bari and BAT areas—from Terlizzi to Ruvo di Puglia and Andria—acting as a cultural sowing that prepares for the new edition of the Secolare Festival, scheduled from August 6 to 9, 2026, at the Agriturismo San Giuseppe in Corato, at the gates of the Alta Murgia National Park. Each stop brings a fragment of the festival's spirit to a different location in the region: attentive listening, discovery of experimental artists, and dialogue with the local area.

Organization

The series is promoted by Spore Società Cooperativa Impresa Sociale, the organization behind the entire Secolare project, in collaboration with local associations and cultural spaces such as the Compagnia Licia Lanera and Vivaio. The two evenings in Terlizzi represent the most urban and experimental side of the 2026 previews, bringing musical and theatrical research directly into the city spaces of Terlizzi.
