Cinema arrives at Cascina Cuccagna

Scintille is the Milano Film Fest's programme of free open-air screenings, spread across all nine Municipalities of the city. The stop at Vicolo Cuccagna brings the big screen to Cascina Cuccagna, one of Milan's historic farmhouses restored and returned to public life, in the Calvairate-Romana neighbourhood of Municipality 4.

"Settembre" under the stars

The evening features the screening of Settembre, the debut film by Giulia Steigerwalt, a choral film that intertwines the stories of various characters seeking change. The event starts at 9:30 PM, with an introduction to the film and completely free admission, in the democratic spirit of Scintille.

A special place for cinema

Cascina Cuccagna is a unique cultural and social space in Milan's landscape: a 17th-century rural complex in the heart of the city, now a meeting point for agriculture, sustainability, and culture. Its alleyway and courtyards offer an intimate and evocative setting, perfect for an open-air cinema evening that brings the neighbourhood community together.

Inside the Milano Film Fest

Scintille is the widespread face of the Milano Film Fest, the city's film festival which, in the first days of June, features competitions for feature films and shorts, out-of-competition screenings, and neighbourhood events. The open-air programme is supported by Fondazione Cariplo and the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Milan.
