A summer night on the Scauri seafront

Scauri Night Vibes is the street artist festival that brings the seafront of Scauri to life—the seaside district of the Municipality of Minturno, in the province of Latina, in southern Lazio. For one evening, the wide pedestrian area overlooking the Gulf of Gaeta turns into a continuous stage: there is no single platform, but a succession of spots where jugglers, fire performers, magicians, acrobats, mimes, and musicians perform before an audience that strolls, stops, applauds, and moves on.

The format: the audience is the jury

What sets Scauri Night Vibes apart from a simple evening of entertainment is the popular competition. Special voting totems are placed along the route: every spectator can cast their vote, and the most-voted artist receives the edition's prize. It is a simple yet effective mechanism that encourages people to walk the entire length of the seafront to see all the acts before deciding, and it gives artists a direct and immediate connection with their audience.

From the first edition to the 2026 encore

The first edition was held on July 20, 2025, and brought about thirty performers to the seafront, with a turnout that organizers described as "a true river of people" who stayed until late at night. The fire performers Lia Mosca and Nica D'Angelo triumphed, winning by a landslide of votes. The success convinced the administration to repeat the event: in 2026, the festival returns with its second edition, included in the summer program "Minturno Scauri 2026. A Wave of Emotions."

Part of a summer full of events

Scauri Night Vibes is not an isolated event: it is part of a summer festival that the Minturno da Scoprire Tourist Consortium builds every year together with the Municipality. The 2026 edition features a lineup of theatrical and cultural evenings, sports events, shows for children, guided tours of the Minturnae archaeological area and the Appian Way, and food and wine proposals like "Minturno to Taste." During the same period, the seafront also hosts the Scauri Summer Village, the craft market that accompanies the July evenings.

Minturno, between sea and archaeology

It is worth remembering that Minturno is not just its marina. The historic center, nestled within the walls of the Baronial Castle, preserves an intact medieval layout, while a few kilometers away, the Minturnae archaeological area houses the Roman theater, the remains of the aqueduct, and the route of the ancient Appian Way. Those who come to Scauri for the festival can easily plan a full day, between the beach, a visit to the village, and the cuisine of lower Lazio, before heading down to the seafront for the night of street artists.
