Vigevano's Great Race
The Scarpadoro Half Marathon is the premier running event in Vigevano, Province of Pavia. Organized by Atletica Vigevano, it combines a competitive half marathon with FIDAL certification with a series of events designed for everyone, from families to walkers. The name recalls the city's shoemaking identity and the historic "Scarpa d'Oro" (Golden Shoe), from which the association derives its roots.
Three Distances for Everyone
The program includes three main routes: the competitive 21 km half marathon, the 10.2 km StraVigevano, and the non-competitive 4 km Stracittadina. These are complemented by the Scarpadoro 4 Zampe for those running with their dogs and the Scarpadoro Ability, dedicated to inclusion. The start is set at the "Dante Merlo" Stadium, and the routes wind through the city and its surroundings.
A Celebration of Sport and Community
Beyond the race itself, the Scarpadoro champions the values of sport, well-being, and solidarity, with broad public participation that makes Vigevano the running capital of Lomellina for a day. The event attracts thousands of participants each year, including registered athletes and enthusiasts.
