The Sasso Pisano Historic Vehicle Rally is a must-attend event for vintage car and motorcycle enthusiasts, held in Sasso Pisano, a charming village in the municipality of Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina, in the province of Pisa, in the heart of the Tuscan Colline Metallifere. Organized by the Pro Loco "La Fumarola" APS, the rally transforms the village streets for a day into an open-air showcase of historic vehicles, admired by visitors and paraded through the town.

More than just an exhibition

What makes this rally special is its deep connection to the local area. The event goes beyond a simple vehicle display, offering a true itinerary to discover the natural and cultural resources of this corner of Tuscany. The highlight is the guided tour of an Enel Green Power geothermal power plant: Sasso Pisano is one of the Italian capitals of geothermal energy, where steam gushing from the subsoil is transformed into electricity.

Culture, village life, and tradition

After the plant tour, participants and visitors gather for lunch in the medieval village in a convivial atmosphere. The afternoon is dedicated to exploring the town: you can visit the Hemp Museum (Museo del Canapaio), dedicated to ancient hemp processing, the parish church, and above all, the famous Fumarole Park, where steam jets, vents, and hot springs create a unique natural spectacle born from the geothermal activity of the subsoil.

A growing event

Promoted with the patronage of the Municipality of Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina and in collaboration with associations such as "Gli Amici della Fiat 500" and "Garage del Tempo" of Cecina, the rally has become a magnet for historic motoring clubs in Tuscany and beyond. The winning formula, which weaves together a passion for engines, regional promotion, and sustainable tourism, has ensured the success of the first editions, attracting numerous crews and curious onlookers.
