Saracen Asparagus Festival

The 47th edition of the Saracen Asparagus Festival was held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, starting at 10:00 AM in Piazza San Marco, Vinchio, organized by the Vinchio Pro Loco with the patronage of the Municipality.

The day featured the spring market with farm-to-table products, handicrafts, and gifts, the agricultural equipment fair, and free guided tours of the village museums. Among the most popular events were the demonstrations by the Civil Protection canine units of Isola d'Asti (at 10:30 AM and 3:30 PM) and the falconry shows (at 11:30 AM and 4:30 PM). The heart of the festival was the traditional Saracen asparagus lunch, available by reservation.

• 10:00 AM — Opening of the spring market (farm-to-table products, crafts, gifts) and the agricultural equipment fair in Piazza San Marco; start of free guided tours of the museums
• 10:30 AM — Demonstration by the Civil Protection canine units of Isola d'Asti
• 11:30 AM — Falconry show
• 1:00 PM — Traditional Saracen asparagus lunch (by reservation)
• 3:30 PM — Second demonstration by the canine units
• 4:30 PM — Second falconry show

Lunch menu: Robiola di Roccaverano cheese with honey and hazelnuts, asparagus friciulin (fritters), asparagus roll, asparagus in Vinchio-style sauce, Saracen ravioli, roast meat with asparagus, and panna cotta with strawberry sauce.
