Edition 2025 — Sapore di Mare

The 2025 edition of Sapore di Mare confirmed Torrenova's commitment to promoting maritime culture. Admitted for funding for the maximum grantable amount, the initiative combined an awareness campaign on sustainable fishing and aquaculture products with a concluding event in Piazza Mare, with the participation of the University of Palermo and innovative companies in the seafood sector.

The 2025 edition of Sapore di Mare in Torrenova (ME) was granted funding for the maximum amount, confirming the municipal administration's focus on the local maritime culture.

The project included an awareness campaign aimed at consumers and the general public regarding sustainable fishing and aquaculture products and the conscious consumption of seafood, with sessions dedicated to reducing plastic in the sea and the traceability of the catch. The highlight of the event took place in the setting of Piazza Mare.

Among the partners involved were the University of Palermo (STEBICEF Department), presenting research projects related to the sea, the company Duwo s.r.l., specializing in the transport and packaging of seafood, and Tridge - Global Food Sourcing & Data Hub, acting as a buyer and consultant for industry operators. The event thus combined the popular dimension of the sea festival with moments of training and commercial networking for local seafood businesses.
