The centuries-old patronal fair of the village of Pomponesco
Pomponesco, a small jewel of the Bassa Mantovana region, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy, celebrates its patron saint Saint Felicity (July 10th) every July with a fair of ancient origins. The event takes place in the evocative Piazza XXIII Aprile, with its characteristic Renaissance layout.
The Santa Felicita Fair is an event rooted in centuries, an integral part of the village's identity and the cultural calendar of the Mantua region. For a few days, the square and the historic center come alive with activities for all ages.
The program includes the traditional funfair in the square, food stalls, tastings of typical products, a charity raffle, and exhibitions of crafts and hobbies. Every evening, starting at 9:30 PM, live music accompanies the festivities. A proven mix that makes the fair a meeting point for the residents of Pomponesco and visitors from the province of Mantua.
