SanNoLo – Festival of Song is a music festival that plays with the idea of the Sanremo Festival, transporting it to the NoLo ("North of Loreto") district of Milan (Municipality 2, Province of Milan, Lombardy), one of the most vibrant and creative areas of the city. It is a contest of original songs designed to give space and visibility to new talents in Italian music, in an atmosphere that blends competition, celebration, and neighborhood spirit.
How it works
The festival is divided into semi-finals and a final: the competing artists, divided into two groups, perform original songs (maximum 3 minutes and 30 seconds, for adults) and are judged by a panel. The best advance to the final evening, which crowns the winner. The main venue is District 272, at Via Padova 272, while live pre-selections are held at BASE Milano in the preceding months.

SanNoLo is not just a competition: for artists, it is a real growth opportunity. In addition to cash prizes for the top three finishers, there are technical awards such as recording contracts, radio airplay, and performance opportunities in Milan's music venues. From March 19th to 21st, 2026, District 272 on Via Padova, in Milan's NoLo district, hosts the ninth edition of SanNoLo – Festival of Song. The semi-finals take place on March 19th and 20th, the final on March 21st. The festival is a contest of original songs designed for new talents in Italian music, preceded by live pre-selections at BASE Milano in the preceding months.
