Organizers

The organization of the festival is managed by the Accademia Night Dance School, led by Fabio Autorino, who oversees the setup and artistic direction of the evenings. The event takes place with the support of the Municipality of Terzigno and the oversight of the Municipal Police, the Civil Protection, the NOT – Environmental Protection association, and law enforcement, who ensure safety and traffic management during the two nights.

San Pio, a devotion rooted in Campania

Saint Pio of Pietrelcina, born Francesco Forgione, was born in Pietrelcina, in the province of Benevento: this is why his figure is so present in Campanian popular religiosity, among images in homes, neighborhood votive shrines, and street festivals dedicated to the friar. In Terzigno, the festival does not take the solemn form of a large patronal feast, but rather the more familiar one of a community celebration: families head to the square, neighbors meet, and music is enjoyed together until late at night.

Terzigno and the Vesuvius area

Terzigno has about 17,000 inhabitants and is located within the Vesuvius National Park, between San Giuseppe Vesuviano, Boscoreale, and Poggiomarino.
