About Saint Joseph's Fair

With over 120 editions to its name, the Saint Joseph's Fair in Pozzolengo is one of the longest-standing traditional fairs in the hinterland of Brescia's Garda region. Every March, the historic centre of the village, in the province of Brescia, transforms into a widespread route of tastings, exhibitions, and entertainment, focusing on the excellences of the morainic land: the famous Pozzolengo Morenic salami, Lugana wine, and typical products from the Valtรจnesi area. A festival that intertwines peasant roots, gastronomy, and memory.

A Fair Over a Century Old

The Saint Joseph's Fair in Pozzolengo, a municipality in the province of Brescia located in the hilly hinterland of southern Lake Garda, is an event with very deep roots: with its 124th edition in 2026, it is one of the oldest and most characteristic traditional fairs in the morainic area of Garda. Every year, around Saint Joseph's Day (March 19th), the historic centre comes alive for two days dedicated to rural traditions, local products, and the historical and gastronomic roots of the community.

The Morenic Pantry and Land of Lugana

The heart of the event is The Morenic Pantry and Land of Lugana, a market exhibition of local food and wine excellences set up in the main square. Here, visitors meet producers directly, taste, and discover the history and quality that characterize the morainic territory: from Lugana wine to cheeses, from cured meats to products from the hilly area between Garda and Valtรจnesi.

The Morenic Salami Competition

Among the most anticipated moments is the Morenic salami competition, where Pozzolengo's charcutiers compete to elect the best salami of the year. Morenic salami is an iconic product of the village, and the competition is a ritual that celebrates local charcuterie artistry and the peasant culture that supports it.

Street Food, Funfair, and Ancient Games

Alongside the food and wine section, the fair offers street food, the culinary performance Chisol so la gradela, a funfair, ancient games, and the traditional Saint Joseph's Market. Two days designed to welcome families, tourists, the curious, and enthusiasts of rural traditions, with a program that enhances the identity of Pozzolengo and the entire Garda area of Lombardy.
