San Beach Comix, comics by the sea

San Beach Comix is the main comic and pop culture festival of the Riviera delle Palme: every summer, at the beginning of July, it transforms the city center of San Benedetto del Tronto (province of Ascoli Piceno, in the Marche region) into a large fantasy village overlooking the Adriatic Sea. Founded in 2017 on the initiative of the Associazione Culturale Fumetti Indelebili, the event has grown edition after edition to become a benchmark for comic, cosplay, and gaming enthusiasts from all over central Italy.

A widespread celebration in the pedestrian area

The unique feature of San Beach Comix is its outdoor setting: instead of an exhibition hall, the streets and squares of the pedestrian area of the Municipality of San Benedetto del Tronto host stands, stages, and themed areas, just a few meters from the famous palm trees along the seafront. This "beachside" formula, combined with free admission, makes the event accessible to families, the curious, and tourists who liven up the Riviera during the summer months.

• Publishers and authors area: the latest from the world of comics, with workshops and signing sessions with illustrators and artists.
• Cosplay competition: one of the most anticipated competitions for performers, with parades and awards for the best costumes.
• Gaming and play area: tournaments, gaming stations, and live demonstrations for video game and board game enthusiasts.
• Show stage: music, entertainment, and K-pop dance performances.

The tenth-anniversary edition

The 2026 edition marks an important milestone: the tenth edition. To celebrate it, the official poster has been entrusted to Paolo Barbieri, one of the most renowned fantasy illustrators internationally, who has reinterpreted the iconic Fisherman statue ("il Principe"), a symbol of the city, accompanied by a sea siren, in a fantasy style. This choice further links the world of comics to the maritime identity of San Benedetto del Tronto.
