Edition 2025 — Salt Fest

The fifth edition of Salt Fest took place in Margherita di Savoia from December 20 to 27, 2025, featuring a week full of music, culture, and gastronomy. Under the theme "art, music, wine, and salt," the festival offered DJ sets and concerts in the square, masterclasses on salt in wine, talks on the connection between the salt pans and the Cipolla Bianca di Margherita IGP, children's workshops, guided tours of the salt flats, and a rich trail of Apulian wine tastings and street food, culminating in a grand finale on December 27.

Salt Fest 2025: the fifth edition

From December 20 to 27, 2025, Margherita di Savoia hosted the fifth edition of Salt Fest, organized by the Saltfest A.P.S. association with the patronage of the Puglia Region and the Municipality. The week opened with a DJ set by Bobby Distaso and Itanceboys at Porta Salina, followed by the "Mozzarella Experience," the talk "A Salty Land" dedicated to the salt pans and the Cipolla Bianca di Margherita IGP, the "Salt in Wine" masterclass with sommelier Antonio Riontino, and salt dough workshops for children.

The grand finale on December 27 animated the entire center with guided tours of the salt pans curated by Pro Loco and Fare Natura, the traveling photography exhibition by Vec Samoano, the "Salt Collage" creative workshop, a talk by the startup EcoVia on waste management, and children's activities by MusicART. The gastronomic trail featured about twenty wine labels, with local wineries such as Tenute Rubino and Cantine Riviera, alongside spaghetti all'assassina, bombette, and gluten-free options. Closing the evening, live music by Loisa, Pooglia Libre, and the street band Pugliandò, with DJ sets by Miguel and Bobby Distaso at the Torrione.
