Edition 2025 — Salamura Festival

In 2025, the Salamura Festival took place in Salignano on August 14th and 15th, in the heart of the summer. For two evenings, the village, a hamlet of Castrignano del Capo, hosted food stalls featuring pepper salamura served on frise and homemade bread, along with grilled meats, seasonal vegetables, and Salento wine, all accompanied by live music in a friendly and convivial atmosphere.

Salamura Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Salamura Festival was held on August 14th and 15th in the village of Salignano, a hamlet of Castrignano del Capo (Lecce). As per tradition, the star was salamura, an ancient recipe from Salento's peasant cuisine made with roasted peppers, cherry tomatoes, onions, and extra virgin olive oil, enjoyed with frise and local bread.

The food stalls, open in the evening, also offered grilled meats, vegetables, typical products, and excellent Salento wine. The two evenings were enlivened by live music, in a festive atmosphere that attracted residents and tourists vacationing in the Capo di Leuca.
