The patronal feast of Cassola with flowers, crafts, good food, and live music
In the hamlet of San Giuseppe di Cassola, in the province of Vicenza, the arrival of spring is marked by one of the most cherished local festivals: the Saint Joseph Festival, combined with the Flower Festival, which in 2026 reaches its 40th edition. For two weekends in March, around the liturgical feast of the Patron Saint, the town transforms into a large open-air market fragrant with flowers.
The heart of the event is the Flower Festival: along Viale San Giuseppe and the side streets, stalls of florists, nursery gardeners, artisans, and food and wine exhibitors are set up. The official inauguration is entrusted to the San Marco Band of Cassola, which opens the festival with a parade along the avenue. Alongside the flowers, there is space for the Book Fair, children's readings in the library, and entertainment shows.
The religious dimension remains central, with the Holy Mass of the Patron Saint celebrated on March 19th, Saint Joseph's Day. The gastronomic stand at the Palatenda offers themed evenings – from the Bavarian dinner of the St. JosephFest to the traditional cod dinner – up to the Community Spring Lunch on the closing Sunday. Live concerts and DJ sets at the Youth Area complete a program that intertwines faith, gastronomy, and social life, organized by the Pro Loco Cassola.
The Saint Joseph Festival 2026 is spread over two weekends, from March 13th to 15th and from March 19th to 22nd, and celebrates the 40th Flower Festival. Sunday, March 15th, is the main day, with the official inauguration, flower and craft stalls along Viale San Giuseppe, the 2nd Book Fair, and shows. On March 19th, Saint Joseph's Day, the Holy Mass of the Patron Saint; on Sunday, March 22nd, the traditional Community Spring Lunch concludes the festival. The gastronomic stand and the Youth Area offer themed dinners and live music every evening.
