Christmas at the Foot of the Castle
Natale sotto le Mura is the Christmas market that annually illuminates Castelfranco Veneto, in the province of Treviso. Wooden stalls are set up in the gardens to the north-east of the castle, at the foot of the historic medieval walls, giving the city a Christmas village atmosphere.
Stalls, Crafts, and Flavors
Dozens of artisanal stalls offer handmade creations, gastronomic specialties, and original gift ideas. Between the stalls, there's no shortage of mulled wine and local products, accompanying visitors' strolls during the festive days.
The Ice Rink in Piazza Giorgione
The heart of the event is also the ice skating rink set up in Piazza Giorgione, in front of the fourth quadrant of the walls, an attraction loved by children and young people. The event is organized by the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto and accompanies the city throughout the Christmas period.

The 2026 edition of Natale sotto le Mura brings the Christmas market back to the gardens north-east of the Castelfranco Veneto castle, from late November until Epiphany. The artisan stalls offer handmade creations, gastronomic specialties, and gift ideas.
As tradition dictates, the ice skating rink returns to Piazza Giorgione, an attraction loved by children and families. The event is organized by the Municipality of Castelfranco Veneto; precise dates and times will be communicated closer to the holidays.

How to Get There
Castelfranco Veneto is reachable by train (lines from Venice, Padua, Treviso, and Bassano del Grappa) and by car from the SR53 Postumia. The market is located in the gardens to the north-east of the castle; the ice rink is in Piazza Giorgione.
Opening Hours
The market is mainly open on weekends (Saturday and Sunday, from 10 AM to 7:30 PM, closed only on Christmas Day), with special openings on public holidays. The ice rink remains active even after the market closes.
