Every year, between late July and early August, the hamlet of Conca in Thiene (province of Vicenza) gathers around the Saint Gaetan Festival, the parish festival of the community of Maria Ausiliatrice alla Conca. The proceeds go to the parish's charitable activities.
Gnocchi in Seven Sauces and Tyrolean Menu
The festival opens in mid-July with aperitifs at the Conchiosco, then gets into full swing with the evening food stand. The absolute specialty is gnocchi in seven sauces, alongside grilled meats, vegetarian options, and an evening of Tyrolean menu with canederli, würstel, pork knuckle, and special beer. Music and dancing accompany the evenings.
The CorrinConca
The sporting heart of the festival is the CorrinConca, a non-competitive 8 km race that attracts runners from all over the Vicenza area. The start is in the evening from the parish of Maria Ausiliatrice, with registrations possible on the day itself. Between a 5-a-side football tournament, the food stand, a rich lottery, and community moments, the Saint Gaetan Festival is one of the most cherished summer events in the Conca hamlet.

How to get there
Thiene is reachable by car from the A31 Valdastico (Thiene exit) and by train on the Vicenza–Schio line. The Conca hamlet is south of the center; the festival takes place at the Parish of Maria Ausiliatrice.
