A patronal feast in the heart of Ciociaria

The Saint Bartholomew Festival is celebrated in the La Lucca district, one of the villages that make up the municipality of Monte San Giovanni Campano, in the province of Frosinone, in southern Lazio. Here, as in many towns across the Ciociaria region, the festival calendar follows the saints: Saint Bartholomew the Apostle, commemorated by the Roman Martyrology on August 24th, is the focal point around which the district community has organized its most anticipated evening for generations.
