About Sagra di Santa Maria Assunta

Now in its 56th edition, the Sagra di Santa Maria Assunta is the big spring-summer festival of Campolongo Maggiore, in the province of Venice. Promoted by the parish, it offers almost two weeks of dancing evenings, concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, a funfair, sports events, and a food stand open every evening, with a fireworks display to close the event. A long-standing and beloved village festival, capable of spanning generations with music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s.

Half a century of celebration in the heart of the Riviera del Brenta

With its 56 editions, the Sagra di Santa Maria Assunta is one of the most deeply rooted parish festivals in the Venetian hinterland. In Campolongo Maggiore (province of Venice), it marks the transition from spring to summer with a schedule that, for almost two weeks, fills the festival area with music and culinary aromas.

Music, dancing, and much more

The program is the real strong point: dancing evenings of ballroom dancing, concerts, tribute bands, DJ sets, and revivals of music from the '70s, '80s, and '90s, interspersed with events dedicated to sports and the community. For the little ones, there's the funfair, while every evening (and Sunday lunch too) the food stand offers traditional Venetian specialties.

A tradition that unites the town

Organized by the parish of Santa Maria Assunta thanks to the work of many volunteers, the festival is an identity-building event for Campolongo Maggiore and the surrounding towns of the Riviera del Brenta. The grand finale is traditionally entrusted to the fireworks display.
