About Festa dello Sport di Arino
Sport at the heart of the village
The Festa dello Sport di Arino is the event that has enlivened the hamlet of Arino, in the Municipality of Dolo (province of Venice), for over thirty years. Organised by A.S.D. Arinese, it takes place on the sports ground in Via Monte Ortigara and spans six days dedicated to tournaments, open training sessions, and demonstrations of various disciplines.
Tournaments and demonstrations
The sports programme revolves around the youth football tournament «Lo scoiattolo d'oro» (The Golden Squirrel), dedicated to the Under-7 and Under-9 categories, alongside volleyball, karate, tennis, and dance: the stated aim is to promote sport among the local children and introduce them to different disciplines. Local associations are invited to present their activities.
Gastronomy and evenings
Thanks to the work of numerous volunteers — athletes, parents, and young people from Arino — a food stand is set up with traditional Venetian dishes, from fried fish to grilled meats. Every evening, the festival continues with live music, until the final day which concludes with the draw of the lottery and a grand fireworks display. Admission is free.
Festa dello Sport di Arino — edition 2026
In 2026, A.S.D. Arinese will once again host the Festa dello Sport di Arino, traditionally held between late May and early June. On the sports ground in Via Monte Ortigara, Dolo, six days of tournaments and demonstrations — from the youth football tournament «Lo scoiattolo d'oro» to volleyball, karate, tennis, and dance — will be accompanied by the food stand with Venetian cuisine and evening music. The closing day will feature the lottery draw and a fireworks display. The precise dates will be published by the organisers and the Municipality of Dolo in the weeks preceding the event.

How to get there
Arino is a hamlet of Dolo, about 26 km west of Venice. By car: SR11 Riviera del Brenta through Dolo. By bus: ACTV lines 53E or 66E from Venice/Mestre towards Dolo and Arino, with a frequency of every 30 minutes.
