Mercatino dei Portici

A stroll through the things of the past

The Mercatino dei Portici is the monthly event for antiques and collectibles in the historic center of Piove di Sacco, in the province of Padua. On the second Sunday of each month, from dawn, stalls invade Piazza Matteotti and the arcaded streets of the center, transforming the city into a large open-air market.

What you can find

The market is dedicated to second-hand and antique items: you can find antique furniture, works of art, ceramics, glassware, and home accessories, used clothing, collectible items (stamps, coins, books, records, vintage instruments), and handmade creations. New merchandise, new clothing, or food products are not allowed: the identity remains firmly that of the second-hand stall and collectible piece.

Exhibitors and organization

The market brings together two categories of sellers: professional operators with commercial authorization and hobbyists with a membership card. For hobbyists, the reference point is the Pro Loco of Piove di Sacco (Via Garibaldi 40), while the initiative is coordinated by the Municipality. It is one of the most established events in the city's calendar and a reference point for antique markets in the entire Saccisica area.
