When mid-August arrives in San Fermo della Battaglia, in the province of Como, it's time for the Sagra di San Rocco. From August 12th to 15th, during the Ferragosto days, the town gathers around one of its most cherished traditions: a gastronomic and popular festival that returns punctually every year, welcoming residents and holidaymakers.

Flavours of Tradition

The heart of the festival is the local cuisine. The food stalls offer the great classics of Lombard and Como tradition: pizzoccheri, risotto, and the characteristic gnocchetti di San Rocco, a dish that bears the name of the festival itself. It's the genuine and generous gastronomy of village festivals, made of abundant portions, communal tables, and the convivial atmosphere that only a summer festival can create.

Four Days of Celebration

The Sagra di San Rocco unfolds over four days, from August 12th to 15th, opening from morning until evening. Besides the food, the festival is an occasion for meeting and socialising for the community of San Fermo, during one of the busiest times of the year for the town. Supported by the Municipality of San Fermo della Battaglia and local organisations, the festival is a summer classic in the Como area.
