Polenta Uncia Festival

The Sagra della Polenta Uncia is one of the most cherished events of the summer in Rezzago, a municipality in the Larian Triangle in the province of Como. The star is polenta uncia (or polenta cunscia), a traditional dish of Larian and pre-Alpine cuisine, seasoned with melted cheese, butter, and garlic: a mountain comfort food that tells the gastronomic history of these villages.

The festival is managed by Pro Rezzago, the town's promotional association, which has also celebrated its decades of activity over time. Polenta Uncia traditionally inaugurates the cycle of summer festivals, which continues in the following weeks with other gastronomic events such as the Sagra del Pesce (Fish Festival), the Sagra della Selvaggina (Game Festival), and the Sagra degli Gnocchi (Gnocchi Festival), as well as concerts in the square.

The evenings take place in the center of Rezzago, with food, a bar service, and music. The simple and popular formula attracts residents and visitors from neighboring towns and is part of the tradition of village festivals that liven up the summer in the Larian Triangle, between Lake Como and the surrounding mountains.
