Sagra della Madonna della Strà - Sagra dell'Anara

The 2026 edition of the Sagra della Madonna della Strà confirms the early September event in Belfiore, in the Veronese plain. The festival maintains its dual nature, religious and popular: on one hand, celebrations in honour of the Madonna della Strà at the Romanesque sanctuary of 1143, and on the other, the grand gastronomic festival in Piazza Carlo Lebrecht.

As tradition dictates, food stalls with typical duck-based dishes (roast duck with polenta and duck lasagne) are expected, along with evenings of live music and DJ sets, and the grand concluding fireworks display. The precise dates and the full schedule will be published by Pro Loco Belfiore in the weeks leading up to the festival.

The detailed programme for the 2026 edition will be announced by Pro Loco Belfiore. Based on previous editions, the typical structure includes:

• Opening evenings — Duck-based food stalls from the evening onwards, with live music, DJ sets, and themed evenings in Piazza Carlo Lebrecht
• Aperitif — Acoustic aperitif sessions in the late afternoon
• Concluding Monday — Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Strà, dinner under the marquee, and, to close, the grand fireworks display recreating the burning of the bell tower

How to get there

Belfiore is located in the plain east of Verona, easily reachable by car from the A4 motorway (Soave-San Bonifacio or Verona Est exits). Verona is the main railway and motorway hub.
