Sagra della Madonna della Strà - Sagra dell'Anara

The 2025 edition of the Sagra dell'Anara confirmed the tradition of the patronal festival in Belfiore, in the province of Verona. As every year, in early September, the community gathered in Piazza Carlo Lebrecht to honour the Madonna della Strà and for the grand popular festival centred around typical duck-based dishes.

The sagra reprised the tried-and-tested alternation of gastronomic evenings with live music and DJ sets, religious celebrations with Holy Mass at the Romanesque sanctuary, and the most spectacular moment of the festival: the final fireworks that recreate the burning of the bell tower. The organisation was handled, as tradition dictates, by Pro Loco Belfiore.

Typical structure of the edition, spread over several evenings in early September in Piazza Carlo Lebrecht:

• Duck-based food stalls from the evening, with bands, DJ sets, and themed evenings
• Acoustic aperitif in the late afternoon on festive days
• Concluding Monday: Holy Mass at the Sanctuary of the Madonna della Strà and final fireworks display
