The Sagra della Lenticchia di Annifo, combined with the event 7 Giorni in Montagna, is the great summer festival of Annifo, a mountain hamlet of Foligno (province of Perugia) located on the Plestini Plateaus, on the border between Umbria and Marche. It is a time when the inhabitants of the small village share the unspoiled beauty of the territory, the authenticity of mountain life and the typicality of their cuisine with visitors.
The lentil takes centre stage
The heart of the festival is the local lentil, an excellent product of the plateaus from which simple and tasty dishes are created. Every evening, starting from 8:00 PM, the inn opens with a menu entirely dedicated to lentils and mountain cuisine.
Not just about food
The festival is enlivened every evening by a briscola tournament and music from the best Umbrian dance orchestras, which draw people of all ages onto the dance floor. During the day, local associations organise excursions on the mountain trails of the plateaus, to discover the nature of the Colfiorito Park and its surroundings.
With its many editions, "7 Giorni in Montagna" is one of the longest-running and most beloved village festivals in the Foligno mountains, capable of combining gastronomy, tradition, and outdoor life.

The 2026 edition combines the 33rd Sagra della Lenticchia with the 40th edition of 7 Giorni in Montagna, from August 10 to 15 in Annifo, on the Plestini Plateaus of Foligno.
Every evening, from 8:00 PM, the inn offers a menu entirely dedicated to local lentils and mountain cuisine dishes. The evening program includes the briscola tournament and music from the best Umbrian dance orchestras, while during the day, local associations organise excursions on the mountain trails.

How to get there
Annifo can be reached by car from Foligno along the SS77 and the roads leading up to the Plestini Plateaus and Colfiorito. Foligno is served by the railway (Rome-Ancona and Rome-Florence lines).
Times and admission
Free entry to the festival. The inn opens every evening from 8:00 PM. For groups and large parties, booking through the Pro Loco Annifo is recommended.
