A village among the stars of Subasio
Armenzano is a hamlet of Assisi, in the province of Perugia, located about 800 meters above sea level within the Monte Subasio Park. Its isolated position, far from light pollution, makes it the ideal place for "Emozioni Sotto le Stelle", the festival that transforms the small village into an open-air observatory every summer.
Night walks and sky observation
The heart of the event, organized by the Pro Loco of Armenzano, are the night walks along the paths of the woods lit by torches, to discover the nature of Subasio by moonlight. At the village and the castle, astronomers from the Antares astronomical club guide the public in observing the starry sky with professional telescopes, telling stories about constellations and planets.
Music, theater, and local products
Alongside the astronomical dimension, the festival offers music, theatrical performances, exhibitions, markets, and entertainment for children, with refreshment stands and stalls selling typical products. It is an opportunity to experience one of the most authentic corners of the Assisi area, where tradition, nature, and the wonder of the sky meet.
Emozioni Sotto le Stelle — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of Emozioni Sotto le Stelle is scheduled in Armenzano around August 1-2 (indicative dates, to be confirmed). The Pro Loco offers the usual mix of night walks along the Subasio paths lit by torches, observation of the starry sky with telescopes from the Antares astronomical club, music, theater, exhibitions, and markets selling typical products in the village.
